Dear Friends of our Roosevelt Community,
As students head into summer for a long and well-deserved break, the Foundation would like to congratulate the 5th grade class and wish them all the best - we know they will do incredible things! We also want to thank the faculty and staff for their hard work and dedication to the students, supporting another fantastic school year!
The last few months were filled with energizing, novel learning experiences including the time with Visiting Artists. It is inspiring to see the product of these collaborations reflected throughout the school, such as the beautiful cabinet created during the woodwork session. The students enjoyed their time spent at the Old Barracks Museum in Trenton learning about the Revolutionary War, Insectropolis in Toms River fostering an appreciate for bugs and a trip to the bowling alley to celebrating the year-long companionship between the 2nd and 3rd graders, fostered by the Buddy program.
In addition to these activities, the students have appreciated new supplies to enrich their learning environment including: a classroom world map, plants for the butterfly garden and supplies for the gardening/cooking club. To end the year the second graders were able to create their own meaningful autobiography books to document their memories, interests and goals for the future! Be sure to check our Events and Activities page and Facebook page for more details regarding these grant activities!
Lastly, we are excited to share that several grant requests were fulfilled in preparation for the upcoming school year including supplies for the recycling and composting program, novels for the resource reading program and a watering system for the butterfly and vegetable gardens. There is already so much to look forward to in the 2024-2025 school year!
These opportunities are enriching, memorable learning experiences for our students, which are inspired by the incredible dedication, passion and creativity of the school staff and made possible through donations and community participation. We thank you for your ongoing generosity and support towards RPSEF! We hope you have a wonderful summer!
