OUR TOWN OUR SCHOOL

Roosevelt and RPS have long been defined by inventive thinking, a passion for learning, and creativity in many areas.  Generations of students have been active heirs of these traditions at RPS.  Roosevelt Public School Education Foundation (RPSEF) provides necessary resources to support our uniquely "Rooseveltian" institution.

Dear Friends of our Roosevelt Community,

This has been a challenging time, and it has been with your generous support that the Roosevelt Public School Education Foundation (RPSEF) has continued to provide students with needed educational enrichment that cannot be funded under the public school budget.

During the last year, RPSEF has donated approximately $6,600 in grants to provide trips to an aquarium, the Insectropolis Museum and to a local farm to learn about NJ crops and animals. We funded the 5th grade class trip to Bell Works so that the students could have a virtual reality experience and use their problem-solving skills to open the door of an “escape room.” RPSEF also purchased a book for each student as part of the school Book Swap. We approved a new “Visiting Artist Program” featuring Roosevelt community artists sharing their passion and knowledge of their craft with our students (see Event/Announcement page for more details).

These activities were all made possible through the generous donations our community continues to make to RPSEF. Some of the most important things in life are learned outside the traditional classroom. We do not want our children to miss out on the experiences of museums, music, science, art and nature. With your help we would like to continue supporting the children, teachers and staff in the important work they do.
