Dear Friends of our Roosevelt Community,
As we enjoy the sunshine and warmer weather, we wanted to share a few exciting announcements:
1) We hosted our first 2025 fundraiser on Wednesday, April 23rd at Panera in East Windsor. We had a great turnout and earned $268.90, thank you to all who joined!
2) On Thursday, May 29th from 1-7 p.m. RPSEF will host an ice cream fundraiser at the Kyle Family Farm - check our Events page for more information!
So far this Spring, the Kindergarten and 1st grade classes enjoyed a trip to Insectropolis, where they were immersed in a multi-sensory, interactive and educational oppertunity to gain an understanding of the structure, characteristics, and basic needs of bugs.
A few weeks later all of the students were engaged in a play-based Musiquita presentation, which is a bilingual (English/Spanish) interactive and educational music performance. The students were invited to sing, dance and move along in a joyful celebration of music!
The celebration continued when the Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd and 3rd grade students visited the State Theatre to view a live performance of Underneath the Magical Moon. The students were engaged by the art of theatre: singing, dancing, acting, scenery and story telling. This theatre experience was brought to life in the classroom the following week, when the visiting artist offered an opportunity for all of the students to engage in acting and improv exercises!
These activities are all made possible through the generous donations and participation of our community. Thank you for your generosity and support towards RPSEF. We look forward to a wonderful rest of the school year with incredible grant activities already approved, including several exciting trips!
