wrapping up an incredible school year!

Dear Friends of our Roosevelt Community,

Another exciting school year is finishing up at RPS!

The students continue to enjoy grant funded activities in these final weeks of the 2024-2025 school year!   Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd and 3rd grade students visited the State Theatre to view a live performance of Underneath the Magical Moon.  The students were engaged by the art of theatre: singing, dancing, acting, scenery and storytelling.  This theatre experience was brought to life in the classroom the following week, when the visiting artist offered an opportunity for all of the students to engage in acting and improv exercises!   Improv is an art form that fosters creativity by challenging students to think outside the box, generate ideas, and create scenarios in the moment. Among many educational benefits, acting promotes empathy, perspective, self-awareness, and helps to build confidence and self-esteem.

These unique learning opportunities are powerful tools for development: fostering cognitive, social-emotional, and academic skills. These activities are made possible through the generous donations and participation of our community.  Thank you for your generosity and support towards RPSEF.  We look forward to closing out a wonderful school year with a few final approved grant activities!
