the Fall Fun continues!
Dear Friends of our Roosevelt Community,
Another exciting school year is well underway at RPS!
The students and staff have already started enjoying grant funded activities! The Kindergarten and 1st grades took a trip to Von Thun's Country Farm and the Pre-K enjoyed a trip to the Red Wagon farm. These students appreciated learning about crops, animals and bees. So far this school year, the students also began tending to the school garden and harvested vegetables to bring home to eat! While in the garden they have enjoyed learning about the butterflies and their habitats as well.
We anticipate a year full of novel, engaging learning opportunities for our RPS students, including field trips to the aquarium and a sky dome planetarium! We are ecstatic to share that the “Visiting Artist Program” (VAP) grant was approved for the 2024-2025 school year and the students already experienced an oppertunity to practice Tia Chi and meditation. We are excited for this program to continue as it will bring in Roosevelt community artists to share their passion and knowledge of their craft with our students. The students have many fun-filled learning opportunities to look forward to these next few months, be sure to check our Facebook page for updates!
