Roosevelt and RPS have long been defined by inventive thinking, a passion for learning, and creativity in many areas.  Generations of students have been active heirs of these traditions at RPS.  Roosevelt Public School Education Foundation (RPSEF) provides necessary resources to support our uniquely "Rooseveltian" institution.

The springtime fun continues!

Dear Friends of our Roosevelt Community,

As we welcome spring and sunshine, we wanted to share a few exciting announcements:

1) We hosted our first 2026 fundraiser at Scotto’s Pizza & Restaurant in East Windsor, earning 80$!  It was nice to see all that joined the event!

2)  We are looking for a new member to join the RPSEF board and help manage our social media accounts. Please view the How You Can Help page and reach out to the email on the flyer to learn more!

The new year has brought many invigorating opportunities!  The students have delighted in a variety of activities through the RPS Club Expansion Project.  The highly attended Sports Club promoted physical literacy, gross motor development and team collaboration.  Students have engaged in several successful Student Council initiatives including a “bagged lunch collection” for RISE and a liter clean up.  The Theater Club participants beamed with pride and joy as they performed an Upsidedown Fairytale production, providing their peers, school staff, families and community with an engaging, entertaining show!

Since returning to school after Winter Break the students have continued to enjoy the “Visiting Artist Program” (VAP).  A professional potter taught each student how to mold clay to build a pot, which they decorated with clay flowers or made shapes to create their own designs.  A watercolor artist provided an opportunity for the students to mix up their own watercolor to paint with.  With instructions from a pavement artist, the students painted "dragon prints" on the sidewalk, hopscotch and four-square on the blacktop and used chalk for beautiful spring decorations!  The most recent artist provided a meaningful sound mapping exercise, where the students practiced listening to the environment around them and recorded what they heard through sketching and writing.  Please view the bottom of our Events and Fundraising page for more information and updates regarding the VAP.

The Kindergarten and 1st grade classes recently enjoyed a trip to Insectropolis - The Bug Museum of New Jersey - where they engaged in multi-sensory, interactive, and educational experiences learning about insects. We look forward to a wonderful rest of the school year where students will experience a few more exciting grant funded projects and field trips. These truly special learning opportunities are all made possible through the generous donations and participation of our community.  Thank you for your generosity and support towards RPSEF.  Be sure to check our Facebook page for updates!
